Graduate in Philosophy by USP-Universidade de São Paulo, with specialization courses in Aesthetic and History of Modern Philosophy by the same institution and Neurolinguistics by Sociedade Brasileira de Neurolingüística.
Visited several american cities studying organization & methods and cultural production systems, as invited by US' State Department. While collaborating to O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper - literary supplement - was prized by the Italian government with the "Presence of Italy" award.
Works at Cultura's TV and radio station coordinating and presenting musical programs.
Walter Lourenção has been MASP's artistic director and conductor at Teatro Municipal de São Paulo.
Has been developing "Sinfonia Enpresarial" for about ten years by delivering lectures and courses in more than 150 companies and institutions all over the country and has also been developing specific programs to Fundação Getúlio Vargas de São Paulo, Fudação Dom Cabral and USP's MBA.
The chamber orchestra was founded by teachers from USP's symphony orchestra, UNESP and Teatro Municipal de São Paulo who are post-graduate and specialized by Boston, Chicago and Houston Universitites, Manhattan School, Superior Musical School of Freiburg and Superior Musical School of Geneva.
One of the most important Brazilian orchestras, it was created specially for carrying differentiated programs out and it has in repertoire abundance and versatility as one of its main characteristies.
